We have a fantastic opportunity for a secondary French teacher at a school located in the vicinity of Southampton. This independent school is currently looking for an experienced French teacher to join their team. This teaching post will ideally suit a candidate that has experience teaching French to GCSE level. The school offers a fixed-term contract starting in November 2010 until the end of school year. The successful applicant will be required to teach French to Years 7-11 (KS3 & KS4) for 3 full days a week (Tue, Wed & Fri). Maximum class size is likely to be only 10 pupils. Prior experience of working within the independent sector would be an advantage but is not essential for this French teaching position.
This small independent secondary school is on the outskirts of Southampton and is easily accessible from the M27. It is very proud of its ethos and the teachers strive to maintain high standards of learning. Class sizes are small, comprising of approximately 10 students. Pupil behaviour is of the highest standard and parental support is excellent. The school boasts very good facilities and due its success and popularity, it has recently expanded and opened its junior section in September 2009.
All candidates must:
* Be UK qualified or hold a recognised teaching qualification;
* Be qualified to teach French to GCSE level standard;
* Have prior experience of teaching French to Key Stages 3 and 4;
* Have current GTC registration;
* Be available for a face to face interview at the school.
