Wrexham schools will benefit from a 'major revamp'

Three Wrexham high schools are getting a £20 million revamp, according to a local news report.

The first secondary school to benefit is Ysgol Bryn Alyn Gwersyllt. The school is getting a modern, two-story science suite and IT facility. The learning library resource centre will also be renovated, according to the Daily Post.

The multi-million pound investment is also set to benefit Maelor School, Penley and Darland in Rossett, according to a local news report.
"Wrexham council has committed to ensuring that our young people have the skills they need to go into employment, education or training when they leave school," said Aled Roberts, a Wrexham council leader.

In other news, a school in Dorchester has received a glowing report by education watchdog Ofsted, a local news report has said.

Inspectors said that Cheselbourne First School, which has just 26 pupils, has been "outstanding" in 27 out of 28 areas, including in "overall effectiveness," "capacity for sustained improvement" and "outcomes for individuals and groups of pupils" categories, according to the Dorset Echo.
