Welwyn school for deaf children praised by Ofsted

A school for deaf children in Welwyn Garden City is toasting success after it received an "outstanding" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection, according to a local news report.
Knightsfield School, whose pupils are children with severe or profound hearing impairments, has been commended by the education watchdog for its overall effectiveness and capacity for sustained improvement, the Welwyn Hatfield Times has reported.
"Our school has continued to flourish since our last outstanding inspection. We are all very proud that we have received this recognition of the commitment of pupils, parents, staff and governors," said head teacher Lucy Leith.
In other news, a school in Dorchester has received a glowing report by education watchdog Ofsted, a local news report has said.
Inspectors said that Cheselbourne First School, which has just 26 pupils, has been "outstanding" in 27 out of 28 areas, including in "overall effectiveness," "capacity for sustained improvement" and "outcomes for individuals and groups of pupils" categories, according to the Dorset Echo.
