New head teacher appointed to run Plymouth schools

Two primary schools in Plymouth will have a new executive head teacher when the school year starts in September, a local news report has said.
Andrea Norris has been chosen to run Oakwood and Beechwood primary schools, which comprise the Southernway federation of schools, according to the Herald.
The new executive head teacher will replace Mark Lees who left to take up a job opportunity in Cornwall.
Ms Norris, who is currently "substantive team head teacher" of both schools, said the executive model was an organisation structure "that the government has been keen to see" for schools which work together under a federation umbrella.
In other news, St Peter's school in York has named Leo Winkley as it new head teacher, a local news report has said.
The private school, which is one of the oldest in the country, said the new head teacher will undertake his new duties from September, the York Press has reported.
