Hangleton Infant School praised by Ofsted
March 10 2010
Education watchdog Ofsted has praised an infant school in Brighton and Hove for its "consistent success in providing high quality education," a local news report has said.
Hangleton Infant School, which failed its Ofsted visit in 2000, has been judged to be outstanding, the Brighton and Hove News has reported.
Education inspectors commended the school for providing a high level of care to its pupils and the staff for working hard to give students a real sense of determining their own way forward.
"We are delighted that Ofsted has recognized that an outstanding school is made from supportive parents, fantastic children and a team of dedicated professionals. We are proud and delighted with the result," said head teacher Emma Lake.
In other news, a small pre-school in Northfleet is toasting success after it collected its second "outstanding" rating from education watchdog Ofsted, a local news report has said.
Owl Pre-School, based within Shears Green Primary School in White Avenue, was praised by inspectors following their latest independent visit to the school, according to the Gravesend Reporter.
