Pupils representing 12 primary schools from Elgin and Lossiemouth took park in an afternoon cricket festival on Saturday, according to a local news report.
The event, which was put together by Elgin Cricket Club and Morays active schools co-ordinators, was held to show pupils' strengths in the game, the Press and Journal reported.
Roy McPherson, the active schools co-ordinator, said the children really enjoyed taking part in the cricket tournament.
"It went really well and the standards are higher than last years festival. Cricket is going down a storm with the pupils, they really enjoy the game," he was quoted as saying by the publication.
