Sir Chris Hoy launches National School Sports Week

Olympic gold medal winner Sir Chris Hoy has launched National Sports Week in Scotland.
Organised in partnership with Sportscotland, it aims to encourage youngsters to try Olympic and Paralymic activities they may have not had the opportunity to experience before.
Research carried out as part of National School Sports Week revealed that 84 per cent of children are keen to enjoy new sports.
A further 57 per cent said the fact that the next Olympic Games is taking place in the UK will inspire them to get involved in new activities.
92 per cent of schools that participated last year said more students were engage in sports afterwards.
"I hope these kids are inspired to go on and achieve things in the future," said Sir Chris.
More than 700 schools are taking part in National Sports Week 2010, with a host of other Olympians also set to make appearances over the coming days, including Eve Muirhead, Simon Jackson and Steve Maclean.
