New school opened in Wales

A new state-of-the-art primary school has been opened in Wales.
Ynyshir Community School was created following the amalgamation of the existing junior and infant schools.
The environmentally friendly school features a rainwater harvesting system, solar thermal system and sophisticated lighting control unit.
Speaking last week, education minister Leighton Andrews said: "The Welsh Assembly Government is committed to ensuring that every child in Wales is educated in an environment that is conducive to learning for the 21st century.
"This commitment is reflected in an investment of over £6 million by the Welsh Assembly Government towards the total cost of building this new school."
He added that Ynyshir Community school is an excellent example of a modern and green school that features an impressive range of facilities.
In related news, Mr Andrews last month opened a new high-tech learning plaza at Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw school in Torfaen.
