Nottingham school teachers set to enjoy open-air lessons

Teachers at a primary school in Nottinghamshire are looking forward to the start of spring so that they can take classes in the open air.

The Bluebell Hill Primary School, which is situated in the St Ann's area of
Nottingham has just this week re-opened after being given a £1.3 million facelift.

Notably, alongside a fresh lick of paint for its classroom walls, a new outdoor learning area has been developed, enabling the school's 210 pupils, as well as its teaching staff, to enjoy lessons in the sun.

Celebrating the school's re-opening, headteacher Jo Bradley told the Nottingham Post that she was keen to see a new patio included in the plans, while the revamped school is also more-accessible for pupils of varying abilities.

"This goes well with our attempts to create more chances for pupils to learn when they are outside," she said.

At the same time, the Bath Chronicle has reported that pupils at the
Freshford Primary School in the city have broken the world record for singing and signing at the same time.
