London schools win design awards

Teachers in the Lambeth area of London may be pleased to hear that their working environments have won design awards.
Elm Court School was awarded the title of the best design for a remodelled school at this year's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) awards, which took place earlier this week.
The Streatham Guardian adds that the development of various sporting facilities at the pupil referral unit Park Campus in Gypsy Road.
Lambeth council walked away as joint winner of the authority of the year title at the awards ceremony.
Councillor Paul McGlone told the paper: "Lambeth Council's award winning BSF programme is one of the fastest growing projects in the country and we are delighted that its creativity and imagination has once again been recognised."
A variety of schools across the country have already been renewed are rebuilt under the Building Schools for the Future programme, which is designed to modernise the nation's secondary school stock.
