TimePlan Teacher Testimonial - Caitlin
Moving to a new country to start a new career is always a bit nerve-wracking, but TimePlan made the transition so much easier for me.
When I was preparing to come over to the UK, I registered with a few different educational recruitment agencies, and the difference TimePlan made in facilitating the move was huge. Other agencies point you in the direction of the office you can find tax information at; TimePlan actually has the forms there ready for you, and take you step-by-step through how to complete the forms. Thorough assistance in obtaining National Insurance numbers and bank accounts was also given. Other agencies might allow you to use their computer to search for a place to stay at; not only did TimePlan help us book short-term accommodations while we looked for something permanent, they also provided us with a list of reputable letting agents and websites to search for accommodation.
We were also provided with letters of reference for getting library cards, bank accounts, and for renting a flat or a house- an absolute must when getting accommodation in the UK. Detailed maps of the city, alarm clocks to get you up in the morning, discounts on gym memberships and international travel- TimePlan thought of everything that I might have needed to adjust to life in a new country and get ready to have some fun on my school breaks!
I was nervous about coming over here with no place to live and no job, but before even two weeks I had a great flat near the city centre and a full-time teaching job. It’s a big decision, but one of the best ones I have ever made and I can’t wait to see everybody at the TimePlan staff gatherings!
