Job Description

Are you a primary teacher with a specialism in Literacy? Perhaps you are a secondary English teacher looking for a new and exciting role? Are you seeking the perfect English teaching position in Basingstoke? Look no further ... we have the right job for you! This school in Basingstoke is looking for a qualified English teacher to join their team. This English teaching position is for four days a week (Tues to Fri) and the successful applicant will need to be available to start 23rd February 2010. This English teaching position will last until July 2010.

This school is based in a large town in Hampshire with easy access to the countryside and a short train ride to London. The school is fairly small but has extremely impressive facilities. Staff have their sights clearly set on raising standards while maintaining a caring and environment. Pupils are proud of the school and value the increasing range of opportunities available to them for developing their learning. Behaviour is generally quite good and there is a clear behaviour policy set in place where expectations are made clear.

The successful English teacher will be required to teach literature to pupils of a lower ability. You will be required to motivate and engage the students in order to develop their independent learning skills. The position is based in Basingstoke so you must be willing to commute or live in the area. All applicants must be available for the full duration of the post from Feb to July 2010.
