Job Description

A strong, dynamic, hardworking Primary Teacher for a Year 5 (9-10 year olds) class. This is a maternity cover position beginning after Easter (with potential to begin earlier for the right candidate) and will carry on until Christmas 2010 at least.

This large school is located within a low socio economic area. Majority of the pupils are from ethnic minority groups and have English as an additional language. It is an effective school which upholds a sympathetic and caring environment. Additional support is provided for pupils who have speech, learning and communication difficulties. The school boasts a Hearing Resource base for pupils that are hearing impaired.

There is dynamic leadership in the school and good support in place for staff. The school boasts a large, friendly staff with experienced, hardworking teachers and highly skilled, enthusiastic support staff.

Just one mile from New Street station, the school is a short 6 minute bus ride from the city centre, it is also on the 50 bus route.

Must

Fully qualified Primary teacher

Eligibility to register in the country you trained in

Registration with the General Teaching Council for England (GTC)

Have at least a years teaching experience
