Job Description

Are you an experienced teacher of Design and Technology? Are you looking for an exciting DT teaching job in Portsmouth for the summer term? If so, we have the perfect Design and Technology job for you!

This secondary sports college is located in Portsmouth, South Hampshire and is looking for a Design and Technology teacher to join their DT team. The position requires a qualified secondary teacher that has experience of teaching within all areas of Design and Technology, i.e. Resistant Materials, Graphics, Electronics, Food and Textiles.

This Design and Technology teaching job will be a full time contract for one term initially and the successful candidate will be teaching a carousel of DT activities to Key Stage 3 pupils as well as their specialist area of Design and Technology to GCSE and A'level standard.

This school is a mixed community school for pupils from 11 to 16 years of age and is located in Portsmouth. The students have access to a broad range of courses and the school prides itself on setting high standards of academic achievement along with a positive learning environment in which both its staff and students are able to develop.

Having gained Sports College status, the school boasts excellent facilities for developing Physical Education and healthy lifestyles both within its own pupils and the wider community.

All candidates must:

* Be UK qualified or hold a recognised teaching qualification;

* Have at least two years' teaching experience;

* Have prior experience of teaching across the Design and Technology areas of Resistant Materials, Graphics, Electronics, Food and Textiles;

* Be qualified to teach and have proven experience of teaching one or more DT topics to A'level standard;

* Have current GTC registration;

* Be available for a face to face interview at the school.
