Looking for a Cover Supervisor job in Birmingham?

We are currently seeking experienced, committed and reliable Cover Supervisors for a secondary school in Birmingham. This post will begin 1st of September for 1 term, but has potential to continue for a whole school year.

This girls school is a smaller than average comprehensive school. Pupils come from a range of circumstances, many with social disadvantage. It is a good school with several outstanding elements. The school became a technology college in 1997 and is involved in a wide range of initiatives to raise standards. It has achieved Artsmark Gold, Healthy Schools and Investors in People awards. It also offers supplementary provision for family and community learning and is involved in Excellence in Cities, a project to support improvements across groups of city schools. There is a strong and supportive sense of community in the school and pupils are keen to do well, taking pride in their work.

The school is only 7.1 miles from the city centre. It is a 20 minute journey by car or on the 47 bus route, a short 56 minute bus trip.

The successful candidate must:

* be UK qualified or hold a recognised teaching qualification

* Eligibility to register in the country you trained in

* Registration with the General Teaching Council for England (GTC)

* Enthusiasm, Flexible with Good work ethic

* Be flexible and adaptable

* Be able to adjust their teaching styles to cater to individual students' needs

* Hold a current CRB

* Be available from September 2010 for at least 1 full term.
