Are you looking for a DT technician job in Southampton?
You have come to the right place! TimePlan are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent DT technician with a passion for working with young people. You will need to be an experienced and committed DT technician providing technical and general assistance to all teaching staff in the Design & Technology department. You will be responsible for assisting technically in the use of 2D and 3D CAD programmes and setting up examples and specific demonstrations. In addition, you will be required to prepare equipment and materials as necessary to enable staff and students to function effectively, including using woodwork machinery such as bandsaw, drill and circular saw.
To be considered for this DT technician job, you must:
* Have a relevant Design & Technology technician qualification
* Have a good background knowledge of craft-based subjects
* Be experienced in the use of wood cutting machines and the handling of workshop equipment
* Have good manipulative/manual handling skills
* Be passionate about supporting students' learning
* Be available for a face to face interview.
