This is a mixed comprehensive catering for 1200 students aged from 11-16. It is a community school with specialist status on the Performing Arts. The school holds to traditional values.
Ofsted comments are that "extra curricular provision is particularly strong" and that "teachers establish good relationships with students so that the latter are keen to learn."
