Calling all SEN teachers in North Hampshire! Are you seeking an exciting new SEN teaching job in North Hampshire? Are you a Special Needs teacher who is passionate about working with autistic pupils? If so, TimePlan has just the job for you!

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified SEN teacher at a school situated just north of Basingstoke. This special school is looking for a strong and enthusiastic teacher to work with non-verbal autistic children on a full time basis, starting as soon as possible. You will be delivering life and social skills as well as early concepts of reading and writing to small groups of pupils. Knowledge of the TEACCH programme and the PEC system is essential for this role. The school offers the support of behavioural specialists and therapists to facilitate the teaching and learning process. The initial contract will be for two terms with a view to becoming a permanent post. In order to be considered for this Special Needs teaching position in North Hampshire, you must be able to attend a face to face interview and commit to the full duration of the contract.

This special school is based in a beautiful setting, just to the north of Basingstoke. It focuses on the care and education of pupils between the ages of 5 to 19 diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated learning problems. Due to low-functioning abilities and lack of social understanding, the students display challenging behaviour. The school provides a lot of support for all their staff and pupils to ensure progress and safe teaching and learning environment.

By car, this school is a 20 minute drive from junction 6 of the M3. Via public transport, it is a 20 minute bus ride from Basingstoke train station followed by a 10 minute walk to the school.

* Be UK qualified and hold QTS;

* Have proven experience of teaching pupils with Autism;

* Have a good understanding of the TEACCH programme and the PEC system;

* Be flexible and adaptable in order to adjust to students' needs;

* Hold a current CRB;

* Have current GTC registration;

* Be able to commit to the full duration of the contract.
