Job Description

English Teacher needed in Reading.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly-motivated, innovative and well-qualified English teacher to cover maternity leave on a full time table from January 2012 at this popular Secondary School in Reading.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational classroom teacher committed to inspiring a love of English and maintaining a consistently high standard of learning and teaching. You will work as a positive member of a hard-working and friendly team, contributing to raising student standards. The successful candidate will be able to teach English to Key Stage 4/GCSE level.

This is a smaller than average community secondary school in a rural setting in Oxfordshire. The school works closely with a special school that is located on the same site and was awarded specialist language status in September 2007.

They are very proud of the fact that many of thier students study a Modern Foreign Language at KS4. Students have the opportunity to study French, German or both languages. Students in KS3 also have the opportunity to participate in a Spanish club as an enrichment activity.

All candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

*Have a right to work in the UK

*Have current or recent experience teaching Secondary students

*Be available to start January and have a face to face interview.
