This SEN school in North Hampshire, is seeking to appoint a permanent Special Educational Needs teacher to join their dedicated team of staff teaching KS2. The successful applicant will have considerable SEN experience and will be required to teach Key Stage 2. Knowledge of the TEACCH programme and the PEC system is desirable for this role. This permanent SEN position will start at the end of February.
A co-educational school specialising in the care and education of pupils between the ages of 5 to 19, who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Children may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.
This SEN school is located in North Hampshire and is accessible via the M3 and M4.
All candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
* Have QTS;
* Be UK qualified or hold a recognised SEN teaching qualification;
* Be able to teach KS2 in a SEN setting;
* Have proven expertise of working with autistic children;
* Have experience of working with the KS2 curriculum;
* Have current GTC registration;
* Be available for face to face interview.
