Year 1 Teacher required for great school in Thurrock!
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a Year 1 teaching job in Thurrock at a great school set in pleasant surroundings.
As this is a primary school setting, this Year 1 role requires a teacher who is experienced with the Year 1 curriculum. The successful Year 1 practitioner must have relevant experience and be prepared to commit to the students for the remainder of the academic year.
The role commences after February half-term 2012 and runs until the end of the academic year, in the first instance. There is a good chance that the role will continue into the next academic year, 2012-13.
This great little school is situated in very pleasant surroundings with gardens to the front and a large playing field behind the school, bordering open farmland.
The school is held within high regard by teachers, parents and locals alike and has been a source of education for primary age-range students in the local area since 1952.
This is a school with a friendly, family feel. The school is also able to boast a very supportive management team.
The school caters for boys and girls aged from three to eleven. They have a nursery which the children attend for half day sessions. Most of the pupils come from the houses and flats which are in the catchment area of the school. The school has 10 teaching areas, a nursery with outdoor play area, a library area, a hall which is well equipped for P.E. and which doubles as a dining area, a kitchen, offices and a staff room. The field is used for play, games lessons, football, cricket and athletics and there are two hard play areas.
