A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified SEN teacher at a school situated in a School in Barnet. This special school is looking for a strong and enthusiastic teacher to work a range of special needs pupils on a full time basis, starting in September.
This school is looking for a primary teacher who has a specialism in Special Educational Needs to join their teaching team for their vacancy at a school in Barnet.
Ideally the school is looking for a qualified teacher who has experience working alongside students on the Autistic Spectrum.
This Barnet School is a special school with Specialist School Status for Cognition and Learning, judged ‘Outstanding’ at our thier most recent OFSTED inspection. They offer places for 165 day students aged 11 - 19 with a wide range of learning difficulties. In particular the school provides a range of teaching methods and interventions informed by their knowledge and understanding of autism, which have been developed over many years.
Approaching 50% of students currently attending this school have a diagnosed Autistic Spectrum Condition or an associated pervasive developmental disorder. The quality of their practice has been recognised with the accreditation mark of the National Autistic Society.
The school site is highly accessible and has the facilities to include young people with physical disabilities in all its activities.
