Job Description

Experienced finance manager required for a large school in north-west London. This is a permanent and full-time role (36 hours per week), starting in September 2012. Suitable candidates must hold a recognised financial qualification (CIPFA, ACCA or AAT qualification) and have previous experience of working in a school.

This secondary school has an innovative, inspiring and motivating curriculum. The school has gained a number of national awards for the quality of its provision. Relationships between staff and pupils are strong and there is a friendly community spirit which exists at the school. Pupils range from a wide ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds behave well and mix freely together to create a productive learning community.

You will be required to provide effective and efficient management of academy finances including all aspects of budget setting and monitoring, procurement, cash flow, VAT and invoicing. You will also be responsible for managing the day to day accounting procedures and recording of all financial transactions accurately on the school's finance system and to contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.
