11-16 Mixed comprehensive situated in a lovely coastal East Sussex town. It is improving school with a sports centre on site and extensive views over the old town down to the sea. Good supportive management and nice facilities. Top level of ability is creamed off by local Independent and Grammar schools so ability levels are mixed. Generally nice down to earth kids but there are some challenging groups. The school has developed a very effective induction system for new teachers.
