Why Yorkshire?

Teaching in the North of EnglandYorkshire is England's biggest county and is a place of spectacular scenery and history that is unsurpassed in Britain. Yorkshire is proud of its diverse countryside with ruined abbeys and castles, great houses and gardens, and three National Parks, which between them have over 1000 square miles of protected walks.

The neighbouring county, Lincolnshire, is also an area of remarkable natural beauty and is well known for its walking and cycling routes, welcoming local inns, quiet country lanes and traditional seaside resorts.

Vibrant Cities?

Leeds is reportedly Europe's fastest growing city and is widely regarded as the premier business centre after London. For the young at heart it is arguably the 'trendiest' city in the United Kingdom, with fashionable city apartments, a thriving club scene, chic wining and dining, designer shopping and world-class sports and leisure facilities.

Sheffield is England's fourth largest city and has over a third of its area within the Peak District National Park. Sheffield is home to Meadowhall, Europe's biggest shopping centre, and also has the largest theatre complex outside London, including the world famous Crucible theatre, home of professional snooker.
