Why Southern England?
Teaching in the south of England will bring you to a region of great variety, combining lively cities, natural forests and miles of stunning coastline. The region is easily accessible from London, and most major towns and cities can be reached within an hour.
Amongst the various country towns and villages you are sure to find one that represents your perception of a typical English village. The stunning countryside boasts rolling hills, beautiful villages, sandy beaches and a coastline so unequalled that it has received World Heritage status.
The schools we cover
The South Office provides teaching jobs in Hampshire, including Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester, the Isle of Wight, Dorset and Wiltshire.
Whether your preference is a teaching job in the hustle and bustle of an inner city school or a rural school with views of the surrounding countryside, with over 800 schools to choose from we are sure to find you the perfect match.
Our schools
Whether you are looking for Primary, Secondary or Special Needs teaching jobs, and whether you want to work in a highly academic environment or work with students from challenging social backgrounds, the south of Englands has schools to suit your preferences. With over 800 schools to choose from, you will have an unrivalled diversity in teaching opportunities; from the challenges of the urban and city school through to the rural primary which will provide a vibrant environment for development. You will also find that schools in the south tend to achieve well above the national average in terms of academic achievement.
Accommodation
TimePlan does not only provide teaching jobs in the South of England. We can also offer an accommodation service to assist you in your search for both short-term and long-term accommodation. Once we have identified where you are going to be based we can arrange temporary accommodation for your first few nights.
Socials
Regular socials are held in the area and the attendance is usually very good. Meeting up with teachers and non-teachers, both from the UK and abroad, on a regular basis will give you an opportunity to reminisce about life back home or talk about your UK experience. Socials are usually held every 4 – 6 weeks, and take place in a local “watering-hole”.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to make new friends and meet colleagues, so come along join us for a few drinks. You don’t even need to bring your wallet as drinks are always on TimePlan!
