A mixed secondary school in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a full time Food Technology teacher to teach KS3 and KS4 students. The position is a maternity cover post and the successful candidate will start immediately and remain in post for the whole academic year. The potential candidate will have a passion for teaching and brilliant classroom management. This position is suitable for experienced teachers as well as NQTs.
This multi-cultural East London Secondary school caters for students aged 11 - 16 and boasts a school roll of 800 students. The school has recently moved to a new purpose built site and is only a 5 minute walk from the nearest transport link. In the past it has been awarded the Visual Arts Specialist College status.
- A fantastic practitioner across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

- Relevant Teaching Qualification and preferably Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

-Dedicated to raising attainment levels and ensuring that each student makes continuous progress.
-An enthusiastic teacher and have a flexible approach to work.
-Able to develop and implement schemes of work.
-Able to plan and prepare effective teaching modules and lessons.
-Able to teach engaging and effective lessons which motivate, inspire and improve pupil attainment.
-Have the ability to reflect on their teaching practice
