  • Reference: 11-190906001
  • Local Authority: Highland Region
  • Type: Full Time
  • From: 28-10-2019 to 20-12-2019
An interesting physics teaching opportunity has arisen at a popular well resourced secondary school Inverness, Scotland. The Headteacher would like a physics teacher to join his team as soon as possible, ideally from the September 2019 or by the 28th October at the latest.
You should either already have a provisional or full GTCS registration certificate or be willing to apply to the General Teaching Council of Scotland urgently The school is located in the centre of Inverness and although it is an Art Deco listed building the school boasts some of the most modern facilities in the North of Scotland. The school's staff team is supportive and they do require an additional music teacher to join their department to enhance their staffing team further and positively progress their students to their full potential in the subject.

If you already living in Scotland or are currently in another country we want to hear from your now. To be considered for this physics role you must:

  • Have a degree in Physics or General Science.
  • Have teaching experience in this subject.
  • Have already obtained a provisional or full GTCS certificate in music or currently have your registration application in process with the GTCS. (The headteacher may consider you if you are about to post off your completed GTCS application too).
  • Be open to an initial one year teaching contract via TimePlan Education. This current schools need is to cover a long term sickness which is why the date offered is currently only until Christmas, however this may well become an extended requirement. Opportunities to teach physics in other schools in The Highlands and other areas across Scotland with TimePlan Education will be available for you to consider later on this year.
