The successful candidate will be joining a two-form entry school for pupils aged three to eleven years. The school is close to an industrial area and most of the pupils live close to the school. The school has a vision of providing its children with a broad and balanced curriculum to foster the requisite skills to equip them to undertake a programme of lifelong learning, which enables them to be part of and contribute to their communities and society. The school provide a secure learning environment based on mutual respect, where learning is enjoyed and all children are valued and supported. The curriculum encourages academic success and also gives opportunities for pupils to experience a sense of achievement through sport and the creative arts, especially music, which is central to the school's philosophy of developing pupils' self-esteem. Rated as good overall in their most recent Ofsted report; "The school has many strengths. One of them is its position in the community. The school is much larger than most primary schools, but senior leaders have created an atmosphere of care, informality and friendliness usually found in the best of small schools. Parents cannot speak highly enough of what the school does for both their children and families." They are a well-resourced school with a nursery, a hall, an ICT suite, music and art bases, library and a fantastic sports field. This is a very good and openly welcoming school.
