Time Plan Education are working closely with a specialist Independent School located on the outskirts of Edinburgh to secure an experienced primary teacher to teach children with additional learning needs for up to one year and 7 months. You will have the opportunity of joining a team to work with children with complex additional support needs. Along with a creative approach to learning and teaching, you will demonstrate a working experience of the Curriculum for Excellence and will have the resilience to work with children who have Social Emotional Behavioural Needs in a nurturing and sensitive way.
This is an incredible opportunity to work with children from the ages of 5 to 18 years whom have additional learning needs. The school is located in the grounds of beautiful woodlands and the facilities they have are specialist up to date facilities to provide the right nurturing and sensual care service required by all residentials.
Be a qualified primary or ASN/SEN teacher.
Be able to commit to 19 months of employment at the ASN Specialist school.
Ideally have special needs teaching experience or prior knowledge on the appropriate levels of education and care children with autism or ADHD or MLD needs require with minimal disruption to their day.
Be open to continual professional development.
