A full time, flexible, PPA Teacher role has become available in a creative and friendly Primary School in South West London.
TimePlan is working with a thriving multi-cultural primary school in the London borough of Sutton area,
which is rated 'good' by Ofsted and is very high on the Primary league table in the
area and in the country. This academically strong school is seeking a full time PPA Teacher from as soon as possible until at least the end of the school year 2017/18. The appointed candidate will be responsible for teaching Reception through to Year 6 on a PPA cover basis. Planning will be predominantlyset, however, you may be asked to plan for a particular subject in addition to pre-planned work.
The ideal candidate would be able to offer an additional subject as well; something they are passionate about and happy to plan for. For example, a current PPA Teacher at the school also plans and teaches French, so someone who can offer a language, such as Spanish, or specialist subject, would be most welcome to apply for this role. PPA teachers at this lovely school are very much part of the school team and community and are very highly thought of.
Due to the nature of the role, it would not be possible for the school to support an NQT in this position, however, they are happy to consider candidates with experience overseas.
Whilst adhering to the National Curriculum standards, this school designs its own unique and exciting curriculum, supported by a wide range of clubs and outside activities addressing the needs of the children. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and shaping of the school curriculum and take active part in many varied extra-curricular programmes.
The school describes themselves as 'vibrant and colourful,' and are very creative. The ideal candidate would be very creative, committed and passionate about education. They are looking for a hard-worker who is willing to go above and beyond to ensure the success of the school and the academic progression of their students is maintained.
The children at this school are very well behaved and the school often uses a lively and adventurous approach to teaching and would like a teacher who is willing to add some fun to learning. The ideal candidate will be able to 'think outside of the box' in their approach to teaching in order to make learning as meaningful as possible to the students. The school is looking for someone particularly creative, as creativity is something that is widely celebrated across the school. Children at this school come from a wide array of backgrounds, different cultures, ethnicities and areas. These differences are something which the school is extremely positive and embracing of and students are encouraged to ask questions about each other's backgrounds in order to become more culturally diverse individuals.
The school can be easily accessible from all main transport links in Clapham Junction, Wimbledon, Kingston-Upon-Thames and London Waterloo. However, it is a bus ride from the nearest train and tram station so it is recommended that prospective candidates drive to the school- there is a wide array of free parking nearby. If you live in Sutton or Croydon, the school is accessible via a short bus ride- it is very close to the nearest bus stop.
