This good junior school in east London is currently looking for a long-term teaching assistant to join the team. This exciting role will start at the end of February and will in all probability run until the remainder of the academic year. Experience of supporting special educational needs would also be advantageous.
This is a large junior school in East London which serves a culturally diverse community. The majority of the pupils attending the school have English as an additional language but the provision for this is excellent. The school is well structured with clear procedures and practices so that all students are aware of expectations. This has meant that student behavioural issues are kept to a minimum and that this is not a difficult place to work. The school and the students parents have high standards and expect lessons to be very well planned and that children make good progress throughout.
If you are an experienced teaching assistant, keen to secure a long-term role, you must also fulfil the following criteria:
  • have a fully verifiable employment history
  • hold a current DBS or be willing to apply for one
  • be able to provide two detailed references (including one from your most recent employer)
  • have excellent numeracy and literacy skills
