Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the implementation of the school's special educational needs strategy.
• Develop and manage individualized learning plans for students with additional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a holistic approach to student well-being and education.
• Monitor and assess the progress of students with special educational needs, making adjustments to strategies as necessary.
• Provide training and guidance for teaching staff on inclusive practices and effective interventions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for local authorities and other agencies regarding special educational needs services.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support and progress.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant degree in education.
• Experience in working with students with special educational needs.
• Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Desirable: Additional SEN qualifications such as the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo).
