Key Responsibilities

• Tailoring daily routines and education plans to cater to the individual needs of autistic students.
• Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to aid their emotional, behavioral, and educational development.
• Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure students receive comprehensive care.
• Promoting inclusion in the classroom and encouraging students to engage in class activities.
• Contributing to a safer, caring, and stimulating environment that promotes learning and meets student needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience or qualification in teaching or providing support within a special needs or autism-specific setting.
• An understanding of autism and techniques to aid the education of autistic students.
• An adaptable, patient, and empathetic approach to working with special needs students.
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and a positive attitude towards all students.
• Valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
