Exciting Opportunity: Day to Day Supply Special Needs Assistant in Lewisham
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Assistant to join our collaborative, supportive team in a day-to-day supply position. As an Outstanding-rated special school, our focus is on providing individualized learning, support, and opportunities for our students aged 4-11 years with severe learning difficulties, complex needs and autism.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored learning support to pupils with special needs, ensuring lessons match individual learning styles and abilities
- Work closely with classroom teachers, using your expertise as a Special Needs Assistant, to optimize each student's achievement
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Promote the ethos "I CAN, YOU CAN, TOGETHER WE WILL" through daily interactions and teaching practices
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Special Needs Assistant or in a similar role working with special needs students
- Relevant certifications and qualifications for support staff, such as NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent
- Knowledge of individualized learning and support approaches for students with special needs
- Adaptable, patient, and empathetic, with exceptional interpersonal skills
