Teaching in the UK - Maiden Erlegh Trust

We are working in partnership with the Maiden Erlegh Trust to recruit Canadian teachers for four of their schools, three secondary and one primary school.

Founded in 2014 the Maiden Erlegh trust governs four schools in total and provides high quality education for nearly 3,000 students. With their motto "Schools for the community, schools as a community" the trust aims to build a family of schools where a community ethos prevails in order to nurture and challenge young people.

This is an excellent opportunity for Canadian teachers to begin an overseas teaching adventure. We offer a £2,000 relocation package which includes two complimentary holidays in Europe as well as support and guidance at every stage of your journey.

What we offer

We offer more than just a job, we offer support and enrichment at every stage of your journey.

Maiden Erlegh School

Maiden Erlegh has an enviable 50 year tradition of academic success and provides a high quality education for over 1800 students, 440 of whom are in our thriving Sixth Form.

"Maiden Erlegh School is a highly successful comprehensive school for students from 11-18 years old and I am proud to say that we live up to our motto of “opportunity, diversity and success for all” every day.

Our students are a delight to work with and relationships between students and staff are extremely positive and constructive.  Students are keen to learn, curious, respectful, polite and fun. They rise to challenges positively and enthusiastically, and have high expectations of themselves. This is why they achieve such impressive academic and personal successes. "

Great Hollands Primary is a caring, vibrant and modern school in which we grow and learn together. Part of the Maiden Erlegh Trust since July 2017, we are a school for the community and a school as a community.

We have made some impressive improvements to our buildings and to our results in the past 12 months. Our children love their school, I invite you to come inside to find out why."

Expectations of ourselves, our students and the wider community of the school are high.  We provide a rich and varied curriculum as well as an extensive range of extra-curricular and sporting activities.

Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge students are confident, talented, inspirational and have a hunger to learn.  The greater the challenge, the more they achieve."

Miss Moira Green, Headteacher

Reading

"We opened our doors to our first Year 7 students in September 2015 and our school will eventually grow to 900 students, housed in brand-new, purpose-built accommodation that opened in 2016.

A school, however, is not just the building but the community of students, staff and parents working together to deliver excellent outcomes for young people. We are determined that our students will leave Maiden Erlegh School in Reading well qualified and equipped for the next phase of their life. We do this using the educational expertise, experience and leadership from across the Maiden Erlegh Trust, working in collaboration with our sister school."
